i thought that my love of hot dogs had reached it’s peak, until the wonderful alana made me aware of this:

in other news, i kinda feel like i’m drowning. i have so much to do and not the most time to get it all done in. however, i’m finally beginning to feel inspired to get it all done which is a nice change of pace.
also, how can anyone be sad wearing an all over print hot dog shirt that represents hot dogs across the country?
exactly.

only in art school would it be ok to spend $12 (plus shipping) on a disposable camera that superimposes fairies into the frame with you.

the plan is to make my own kind of cameras that do the same thing. minus the fairies. we’ll see how it goes. but these are my ‘artists proofs.’

there are some movies that are always hilarious and great to watch. and that also reminds you of the times in which you’d sit in the forts that took over the entire living room with your dad eating the peanut butter and banana sandwiches you had made.
the beauty of tucson summers is putting up with the bullshit hot and humid sucky weather during the day and basking in the glory of the evening downpours.
today was the perfect example of this.
i thought i was going to die on my ride to work this afternoon. as well as my ride home in the pouring rain. but it was once i accepted the fact that i was going to be soaked no matter what, it was an amazing experience.
there are few things better then riding home and splashing through puddles with a good friend.
i know i said this last time, but i’m going to repeat myself anyways. it’s reallyreallyreally nice to know that there are still great people living in this town that are worth investing time into. it makes me feel 100% better about spending another year here.
so thanks.

the perfect weekend consists of:
- sleeping until your body decides when to get up, not your alarm
- che’s at 330
- 17th street market for $2 steaks
- homemade guacamole for the masses
- swimswimswim
- cranberry juice with a side of black metal
- brushfire
- naps
- free furniture
- naps
- midnight movie with my lovelies
this weekend reminded me what it is i love about tucson.

for this weeks project, i’ve decided to do an ephemeral piece that expands upon the ideas from my first walk in which i searched for faces in places. instead of just trying to find these faces, i took a more proactive role and created them. the use of googly eyes helps really define the face, and also adds a very playful element to the piece which is was a goal of mine. i want them to be a nice surprise to be found by other walkers, and hopefully be a reminder of our childhood and how easy it was to enjoy these simple joys.
